I don’t know about anyone else, but the month of December always seems like I’ve been lost at sea, with no hope of rescue. Things pile up at home, work load seems to double up, and workouts are the first thing that get short-changed in these darker days of winter.
But then January comes, and the focus I’ve lost seems to have dusted itself off and has come to claim me back to “The Training Land”. Workouts are getting logged in now, and I am getting excited about this year’s season, even if I can’t run (let’s knock on wood together).
It’s time to sign up for races, and with that the new commitment to a great year of racing.
